How to Still Feel Sexy as a Mom

As a mom, it’s sometimes difficult to channel our inner sexpot. And that’s understandable if most of your days are spent in yoga pants with a cranky toddler on your hip. So, if you’re struggling to feel sexy or like your “old self” sometimes, you’re certainly not alone. But thankfully, there are some ways you can help yourself to feel sexy again even once you’ve become a mom.

Hit those workouts

Okay, we’ve come a long way and you don’t have to lug around a huge diaper bag and a screaming baby just hoping to make that class at the gym that you love. And there’s also the thought of going to a gym when we’re still in the midst of a global pandemic. Whether you want to try Beachbody (my personal favorite), Tracy Anderson Method, or any of the other bajillion at-home workout programs, you are going to feel better about the way you look when you take care of yourself, too. You don’t have to go overboard, but give yourself at least thirty minutes a day that’s just for you.

Make it a Point to Look Nice on Occasion

Like we said above, sitting around in yoga pants with hair you’ve dry shampooed for days on end is not going to help you to feel sexy. You don’t need plans to make yourself look nice—or like a human being for that matter. Dress nice for yourself, and you’d be amazed at how much sexier you will feel. It doesn’t have to be every day, but make a point at least once a week to make yourself look nice, and chances are it’ll boost your confidence, too!

Pamper Yourself

You don’t have to fork out hundreds of dollars to pamper yourself, you can easily pamper yourself DIY-style at home. Paint your nails, give yourself a facial, do a hair mask, whatever it is that’s your pampering preference, you’ll feel sexier and renewed if you take just a few minutes a week for yourself that’s dedicated to making you feel pretty.

Take a Good Look at Your Reflection

You may not have known this, but there are many men out there who think that moms are super sexy. Take pride in yourself, you created a human being and you’re here working hard for that little person every day. If knowing that you’ve created life isn’t enough to make you feel like Superwoman, then I’m not sure what is!

Just because you are now a mother does not mean that you should forgo your sex appeal. Obviously you’re not going to wear little black dresses to your children’s playdates, but that doesn’t mean you should forget about feeling or looking sexy ever again. It’s important to embrace yourself and your sexuality and to channel your inner sensual goddess. So what if your body looks a little different after kids. That body is strong, sexy, and beautiful!

So, we want to know mama: what makes you feel sexy?
